Before going into the install and specific requirements, one thing you enable right now while you at it is enabling the MS DTC service on your vCAC SQL servers participating in your vCAC environment.
To do this, open the Component Services from the Administration Tools (or Start > Run >dcomcnfg)
Expand the console tree and navigate to your DTC – here Local DTC. Right click > Properties
On the Security tab enable ‘Network DTC Access’ and ‘Allow Inbound’ and ‘Allow Outbound’
It will ask to restart the service, confirm this and you are done.
vCAC Requirements
1. DNS must be working properly !! Make sure all servers have their full FQDN registered in DNS (PTRs as well)
2. NTP must be functional
3. Identity Appliance
4. vCAC Appliance
5. IaaS Server
This IaaS can be either 2008R2 SP1 or 2012 and needs the following features / roles enabled
- As discussed, MS DTC needs to be enabled
- TCP/IP protocol enabled
- IIS 7.5
